Situated between the Marlborough Downs, the Cotswolds and Salisbury Plain, the cottage and B&B provide an ideal, peaceful location for exploring this beautiful area and the surrounding picturesque villages of Castle Combe, Lacock (National Trust), and Biddestone.

The great house and art treasures of Dyrham Park, Longleat, Bowood, Lacock Abbey, Sheldon Manor and Corsham Court are within easy reach. Westonbirt Arboretum is a wonderful world of rare and unusual trees and well worth a day out. Only 9 miles away a visit to the spa city of Bath is a must with its wealth of Georgian architecture, museums, galleries, shops and the magnificent Abbey.

The Abbey House Gardens in nearby Malmesbury is a wonderful, quirky spot. Their website describes it as "well worth a visit with the county's largest private collection of roses, double herbaceous borders that rival Monets, and fabulous autumn colour from specimen trees and shrubs; all to be enjoyed in a special atmosphere you have to visit to believe."
